A Landmark in Healthcare Architecture
In 2022, IHOD was commissioned as the in-country architects for Cedarcrest Hospital, an ultra-modern 4,000 sqm medical facility rising six storeys in the heart of Victoria Island, Lagos. Conceived as a 55-bed institution of international standard, the project demanded a design and delivery partner capable of translating world-class healthcare ambitions into a building grounded in local context, code, and construction realities.
Bridging Global Expertise and Local Mastery
Working in close collaboration with Infrabees Project Management Consultants Pvt Ltd of India, IHOD served as the essential in-country partner, the critical link between international design intent and on-the-ground execution. In this role, IHOD localized and validated the design against Nigerian building regulations, site conditions, and material availability, coordinated the interface between foreign consultants and local authorities, and provided the architectural oversight required to ensure the facility met both global healthcare benchmarks and regional practicalities. It is a role that demands equal fluency in international best practice and local building intelligence, a balance that defines IHOD’s value on cross-border commissions.
